Philadelphia schools there is a big issue which is school violence. In many public schools in Philadelphia many kids have to worry about their safety while there in school. They also have to worry about being bullied and worried about kids bring guns and drugs to school. Philadelphia is not the only city where kids have to worry about their safety in schools there are also many other cities that have had school shootings. For example in the article that I read it talks about school shootings.it says how many schools in other states had school shootings. Just to name a few there are “Columbine High School, Red Lake High School and Virginia Tech University". All of these incidents were caused from being bullied. In the article it says "A report examining school shootings concluded that, in 66 percent of the cases of high-level violence, “the attackers felt persecuted, bullied, threatened. Attacked or injured by others prior to
the incident". This chronic victimization may have been a powerful motivating force behind the shootings." furthermore I have experienced school violence in my high school. There was this one boy who everyone used to pick because he didn’t wear name brand clothes and what he used to wear was cheap clothes. So a lot of people would pick on him and tell him how corny he dressed. They would a lot call him dumb and mess with him every day. Until one day when the boy finally got fed up and told the school principle that he was getting picked on.
